Managed Video as a Service

The place to learn about and discuss Managed Video as a Service

For the last few years there has been a lot of excitement and hype about video analytics.  People counting, virtual tripwires, object identification and of course the holy grail of video analytics, facial recognition.

I just read some interesting news on a different angle for video analytics.  Google has provided software tools to assist the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) in finding child pornography on the Internet.

One must imagine that the nature of the problem is somewhat different from a video surveillance scenario.  But reading about this might get you thinking that there might be new ways to approach video analytics.

Nice post Darren. It’s good to know technology is being used altruistically occassionally.
